As I said in my last post, we got our instruments and scrubs on Thursday at orientation! Our class’s scrub color was supposed to be sea-foam green. When it was time to get our scrubs, we were informed that they couldn’t get the sea-foam green scrubs in until the end of September so they had to choose a different color for our class. When our class was informed of this, we all breathed a sigh of relief… I think we were all in consensus that sea-foam green was not the best color. Imagine my surprise to find out that our class color is now this beautiful blue! This is my color, people! YAY! Along with our scrubs we also got our white lab coats, which I must say, look pretty official! :O) They are fun! We even have our names monogrammed on them… I just can’t wait until it has those three little letters, R.D.H., behind my name!
This is our instrument kit that we got. I brought it home to show my husband because well… he’s paying for it! :) Along with this little kit I have a whole bag of other things like my hand piece, model of teeth, and many many other things! I can’t believe that this is actually happening, I am going to be a dental hygienist… if I can get through this program. I am so blessed to be where I am, I just pray that I relax and keep up with everything.
When we met our “Big” (a senior in the program who helps us navigate everything) we got these shirts. The color of dental hygiene is lavender so that is why they are purple. This is my very first piece of purple clothing… it looks lonely in my color sorted closet.
Hope you have enjoyed this look into my new world!
